Luis García imposed his law against the Mets

The Venezuelan pitched 5.0 good innings and added his fifth victory of the year

For the second consecutive day, the Venezuelan Luis García He made an effective presentation so that his Houston Astros could prevail, this time 5-3 over the New York Mets.

Bolivar's man pitched 5.0 innings of three runs this Wednesday, barely allowing a walk and fanning five for the sidereales to complete the sweep in the two-game series.

The Astros backed up Luis Garcia early and, with back-to-back homers by Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez, scored four runs in the first inning.

Brandon Nimmo scored for the Mets with a hairline in the top of the third inning. But at the end of that same inning, Houston extended its lead to 5-1 and took fellow Venezuelan Carlos Carrasco out of the game, who left the mound injured.

Luis García hung another two zeros to complete five innings of just one run. But trying to extend his work into the sixth inning he ended up receiving the other two streaks.

Despite that, the Venezuelan, who made a total of 83 pitches, was able to score the victory and leveled his record at 5-5. His ERA was 3.68.

So far in June, Luis Garcia has four starts and a 2-2 record. In only one of them he could not complete the five innings, last 10 against the Miami Marlins.

Overall, in the first three months of the season, the right-hander has 13 appearances and 71 innings. He has walked 19 and has struck out 74 opponents.

Carlos Carrasco, for his part, charged with the setback, just the third in his season. His record dropped to 8-3 and his ERA dropped to 4.42.
