Yulimar Rojas is one of the 10 nominees in the category of Best Female Athlete of the Year, by World Athletics.
The Venezuelan jump queen is among the favorites to lift the award along with Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who lifted her fifth world title in the 100 meters and won the Diamond League.
Yulimar has had a dream year in the triple jump. This year she revalidated her world titles in the open air and also on the indoor track.
The Creole broke the indoor world record in Belgrade with a jump of 15,74 meters. To cap off the season Rojas raised his second league diamond in Zürich, Switzerland.
Voting to choose the five finalists for the award will end on October 31. While the winners will be announced through the World Athletics social networks in December.
