The triple jump champion, Yulimar Rojas, is one of the five finalists for the trophy World Athletics 2022 to the best female athlete in the world.
The Creole was already the winner of this award in 2020, after winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
The announcement was made by the highest organization of world athletics through its social networks. The athletes were chosen through a popular online poll.
Rojas faces Kimberly Garcia (20km running), Tobi Amusan (100m hurdles), Sydney McLaughlin (400m hurdles) and Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce.
Yulimar stands as one of the favorites to win the award, because this year she was world champion in triple jump outdoors and indoors.

His track record extends to obtaining the diamond league and he also broke the world record with a jump of 15.74 meters.
The winner of this award will be announced on December 5th.
