Jesús Aguilar already knows his role in Oakland

The slugger signed a contract for one season in exchange for three million dollars

The Oakland Athletics will be reinforced during the 2023 season with the Venezuelan big leaguer, Jesús Aguilar, to whom they would have already revealed the role he will have with the franchise.

According to the team's general manager, David Forts, the Venezuelan slugger will be both first base and designated hitter.

The information was released by journalist Martín Galleros, who revealed that the Oaklanders hope to give Aguilar more prominence than he received last season.

Let's remember that the Venezuelan appeared in 63 games defending the initial and another 60 duels as designated while playing with the Miami Marlins and the Baltimore Orioles.

During the 2022 season, the 32-year-old hit .235 with 16 home runs in 507 at-bats.

Despite these figures, the Athletics reached an agreement for Aguilar for one season and three million dollars for this 2023.
