Gabriel Moreno sealed the Dbacks' comeback

The Venezuelan mask, who hits .298, ended a marathon 13-inning match

Gabriel Moreno hit the golden hit for the Arizona Dbacks to beat the Chicago Cubs 7-6 on Saturday after 13 innings and four and a half hours of play.

After completing the nine innings tied 3-3, the Cubs and Dbacks scored one run each, both in the tenth and eleventh, and both also went scoreless in the 12th inning.

In the next inning, once again the Cubs scored one to go up 6-5 and again the Dbacks responded, but this time definitively. Emmanuel Rivera tied it with a single to the shortstop and Venezuelan Gabriel Moreno sentenced it with a line drive to right field.

Evan Longoria, who had started at second, slid headlong and managed to secure the victory. He won Joe Mantiply (2-2) and lost Wesneski (2-5).
