Yulimar Rojas is again a finalist for the Athlete of the Year

Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas, Olympic champion and world triple jump record holder, is one of five candidates for the Athlete of the Year award, World Athletics reported Tuesday.

Rojas will compete against the Jamaican Elaine Thomson-Herah, Olympic champion of the 100, 200 and 4 × 100 meters, and the Dutch Sifan Hassan, Olympic champion of the 5.000 and 10.000 meters, and world record holder of the last distance.

The other two candidates for the award are the Kenyan Faith Kipyegon, Olympic champion of the 1.5000 meters, and the American Sydney McLaughlin, Olympic monarch of the 400 meters hurdles and the 4 × 400 meters post.

The award will be awarded on December 1, 2021.
