The national flag bearer, Yohandry Granado won the silver medal on the first day of Valledupar taekwondo 2022.
The Venezuelan fell to the representative of Colombia, who won the gold in the -58 kilogram competition. Granado lost 2-0 to the Colombian.
Completing the podium of the discipline Raymiguel Barreto from Peru and the Dominican Yeuri Del, shared the bronze metal.

For her part, Virginia Dellan also fell against Colombian Andrea Ramírez 2-0, winning the silver medal at the Bolivarian Games in the -49 kilogram category.
The competitions were held on the tatamis of the Coliseo del Colegio Bilingüe de Valledupar.
