Venezuelan tennis won gold in men's doubles

Venezuelans Brandon Pérez and Ricardo Rodríguez defeated the pair from Chile in the final

The Venezuelan tennis duo, Brandon Pérez and Ricardo Rodríguez, covered themselves in gold this Monday at the 2022 Valledupar Bolivarian Games.

In the Valledupar Racquets Complex, the Venezuelans prevailed in the test of men's doubles by beating Diego Fernández and Matías Soto from Chile 2-0 in the final.

Venezuela dominated the first quarter 7-6 and sentenced in the second 7-5.

The pair from Peru, meanwhile, kept the bronze by defeating Panama 2-0.

Venezuela advanced to the fight for gold after defeating Luis Carlos Gomez and Marcelo Rodríguez from Panama in the semifinals.

Venezuelan tennis had already added a bronze in Valledupar, in the test mixed doubles.

Daniela Rivera and Rafael Abdul combined to beat the pair from Peru in the match for third place.
