Russian athletes received on Tuesday the conditions to return to international sporting events. Although the International Olympic Committee assured that its guidelines to sports organizations do not include the Paris 2024 Games.

"The IOC will make a decision in appropriate time regarding their participation in the Olympics," said IOC President Thomas Bach.
The Russian Defense Ministry noted that more than 20 Tokyo Olympic medalists held military rank in 2021 and more than half were Army-affiliated athletes.
The governing bodies of each sport will now have to decide the conditions of participation and eligibility in each event, which includes the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
