Daniela Rivera counts the days until Santa Marta 2023

The Creole will participate in her fourth South American Beach Games

Having participated in the first edition of the South American Beach Games was a privilege for Daniela Rivera. Now the Venezuelan will seek to add medals for what will be her fourth performance in the sporting event.

“It is a privilege for me to be part of one of the first medals obtained. At that time I won bronze”, said the athlete.

The sailor wants to conquer the podium in the ILCA 6 category, where she will be debuting. In previous years she competed in the radial laser and sunfish modality, which left her with several medals.

  • Gold: 1
  • Silver: 1
  • Bronze: 2

The event will begin this June 14 and the celebration will take place in Santa Marta, Colombia.

Rivera counts the days to look for a new podium. Meanwhile he has constantly worked to stand up to the other athletes.

"The expectations are high, it is interesting because it will be a thermometer for the classification of the Olympic Games in Paris because the greatest exponents of South America will be here and they will be the same ones that I will face in the Pan American Games," he said.

Sailing is one of the 14 disciplines that will see action on the Colombian coast. According to the official calendar, the battle will take place from June 15 to 18, at the Bello Horizonte Nautical Park.
