Formula 1 ruled out replacing the Russian GP after the race was canceled due to the political conflict between that country and Ukraine.
This Wednesday it was announced that only 22 races will be held, the same number as in 2021.
"An additional Grand Prix will not be added to the calendar to fill the gap, bringing the 2022 calendar to 22 races," F1 said in a statement.

The Russian GP, which takes place on the Sochi street circuit, was scheduled for September 25.
Several cities expressed interest in hosting the race, but freight requirements, logistical issues and transportation costs complicated the situation.
