The Williams team announced the renewal of its driver Alex Albon, who signed a multi-year contract.
Williams announced Albon's contract through a post on his Twitter account.
The Thai driver arrived at the British team this season after spending 2021 as a reserve driver for Red Bull Racing when he was left without a place due to the arrival of Sergio Pérez.

With a car that is not among the best in the middle zone, Albon has left a good performance during this season in F1.
In addition, he has achieved eight of the nine best results for Williams in the race and adds three points, the only ones the team has in the 2022 world championship.
