Sergio Pérez stays with the Pole of Arabia

Max Verstappen was left out of classification after an engine failure in his car

Sergio “Checo” Pérez took the Pole Position of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and will start first on the grid this Sunday.

Pérez took two tenths of a second from his closest rival, Charles Leclerc, who, however, will have to start from outside the points positions due to the penalty he is carrying due to engine changes.

Second place and the first row of the grid went to Fernando Alonso, who finished third fastest, improving on his last attempt, beating a George Russell who could lose his third position because he bothered Carlos Sainz Jr. on the last lap and will be investigated .

Max Verstappen for his part was left out of the classification this Saturday after an engine failure in his Red Bull.

Few suspected that the classification of the 2023 F1 Saudi Arabian GP would leave the surprise of seeing the only thing that could stop Verstappen, an engine failure that left him stranded in Q2, unable to fight for pole position and that will make him start in position number 15 in this Sunday's race.
