During the General Assembly of the Bolivarian Sports Organization, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (VOC) raised the country's candidacy to host the next Bolivarian Games, presenting the proposal: Valles del Tuy 2029.
"We turn the page with what happened with our previous award and we have made the effort to formally bring a letter so that Valles del Tuy is taken into account again in 2029," said the president of the VOC, María Soto.
Baltazar Medina, re-elected president of the Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO), referred to the event as a necessary space to redeem himself.
"For us, more than a proposal, it is a commitment to develop these games in Venezuela that for reasons beyond our control could not be developed," said the Colombian.
The mention will be raised before the new board of directors in the coming months.
Until now, a strong contender would be the Ayacucho 2024 proposal raised by Peru.
