Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge, current double Olympic champion and world record holder in marathon, will aspire to a third title in the queen distance at the Paris-2024 Olympic Games, one of his sponsors announced on Wednesday.
The announcement took place on social networks through the official account of the unofficial record set by Kipchoge with less than two hours in a marathon (1h59: 40) in October 2019, an achievement organized by the running agency 'NN Running Team', to which Kipchoge belongs, financed by the British group Ineos.

The Olympic treble attempt for the best marathon runner of all time was unveiled at the same time as a long-term collaboration between NN Running Team and Ineos, a group with a strong presence in international sport (a third of Mercedes in F1, a cycling team, Nice and FC Lausanne in football…).
Kipchoge, who won gold in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021, has held the best brand in the world (2:01:39) since September 2018.
In the next Olympic Games he will be 39 years old. Never before a marathon runner has managed to clinch three consecutive Olympic golds.
