Venezuelan midfielder Bernaldo Manzano led Club Deportes Tolima to its first victory (3-1) against Junior de Barranquilla in the home run in Group A of the Colombian Clausura.
Manzano, displayed an excellent game in the midfield "posh" to achieve the victory. He was that vital link with the forwards, he also maintained a good defensive work to tie Junior's eleventh to just one goal.
Thanks to that victory, the Venezuelan team is located in the first box of Group A, tied with Atlético Nacional with three units, but with Tolima with a better scoring difference.
In this way and due to his performance on the field against the rojiblancos, Manzano achieved his first distinction of a match in the Major Division. This is only his sixth commitment as a Tolima native.
Now, the former Deportivo Lara player will make the trip to Japan to join the Vinotinto delegation today for the duel corresponding to the FIFA date of Tuesday 19.
Let us remember that Manzano is one of the four new officers who are present in this November call, compared to the last call in October; the other three are Nahuel Ferraresi and Williams Velásquez, central back of the U-20 in the world runner-up and Gabriel Benítez, who already debuted in the last friendly window but who on that occasion arrived in the second game.
