Vinotinto striker Josef Martínez would take a plane this Saturday to Miami to meet with the Inter board of directors and sign the contract linking the Venezuelan national team player with the franchise of former Real Madrid player David Beckham.
The journalist Felipe Cárdenas, dedicated to covering Major League Soccer (MLS) revealed on his Twitter account that the figure would be arriving in the city in the state of Florida this weekend.
In addition, Cárdenas stated that the contract includes one season with an option for two more. If true, this would favor the career of the native of Valencia, because today more than ever active and experienced players are needed with the national team, in a few months the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will start.
Several sources have assured that Martínez will play with Inter Miami, this would be his second American franchise. The previous one was Atlanta United where he played for at least five years, in that period of time he managed to win ownership and the love of the fans.
