The Venezuelan soccer player, Rómulo Otero, was the protagonist in the last match played by the Aucas of César Farías against Racing Club de Avellaneda. The duel corresponds to the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores Cup.
Despite the defeat of the Ecuadorian team 1-2 against the Argentines, the Venezuelan stood out with a great goal from a free kick in the final seconds of the match (90'+4') to discount the score before the referee's whistle.
The Venezuelan started as a starter in this match and showed a great rhythm of play during the 90 minutes. However, the Albiceleste squad maintained control of the game from the first minute.
Racing Club took the lead in minute 2 of the match with a goal from Nicolás Reneiro to unbalance Aucas' game.
In the second half, the advantage was increased with a goal from Gabriel Rojas in the 69th minute. Finally, Otero would shine with this spectacular free kick that not even the barrier could stop.

This becomes the fourth goal scored by Otero so far this season, managing to hit the net three times in Ecuador's Serie A and once in Libertadores.
Aucas is currently in third position in Group A with a total of three points, being below Flamengo from Brazil (4 points) and Racing Club, which has already accumulated 10 points.
