The secretary general of the organizing committee of the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup, Hassan Al-Thawadi announced a record number of tickets sold. Al-Thawadi announced at the country's Economic Forum the amount of 1,2 million, after the second phase of sales.
The organizers of the first World Cup in an Arab country assured that 40 million demands were registered, 17 million in the first phase of sale and 23 million in the second.

For the next sales there will no longer be a raffle, as was done in the previous phases.
The measure will be adopted, whoever arrives first will be attended immediately, when the sales ticket offices start to open.
"People buy and want to come, there is no doubt about that," said Al-Thawadi. When some fan associations worry about the prices of flights, accommodation or their rights in the rich and conservative Gulf emirate.
“We try to create an environment that is profitable for the economy, but also affordable and accessible to fans. What is not always easy to balance, "concluded the secretary.
