The forward of the Caracas Fútbol Club is strengthened with the arrival of a gunner who wants to leave his mark on the twelve-time champion of Venezuela. Edson Rivas, a 21-year-old attacker, joins his brother Ronaldo as one of the reinforcements of the Rojos del Ávila for the next two years, specifically until December 2024.
Rivas arrives in Ciego de Avila from Deportivo La Guaira, a team in which he scored two goals and provided two assists in 1.054 minutes played. However, the Red's colors are known to the striker, as he was part of the Under-14 squad.
"I always wanted that revenge of wanting to play in the first team, of wanting to be in the best of Venezuela, to contribute something since I was a child and now I have the opportunity," said the attacker.
Rivas defines himself as a striker who holds the ball well, who does very well in the air and who always goes forward when attacking. Supported by these characteristics, the attacker comes to "contribute to the team a little of what I have learned in these six years of career. I think that I am going from less to more, I come with a beautiful illusion of wanting to achieve many things with this great club ”, he pointed out.
In Caracas, Edson Rivas is reunited with his brother Ronaldo Rivas after two years when they were at Estudiantes de Mérida, something that for him is a dream come true. “I am going to play with the person who always supports me, who is always by my side and who has experienced beautiful things with me in my career. There is nothing more beautiful than being together again and being able to support each other. We come with the same dream of wanting to be champion ”, he explained.
