Academy won and remains undefeated

Puerto Cabello won with goals from Adebanyo, Luifer and Lugo

Academia Puerto Cabello defeated Mineros de Guayana 0-3 at the start of matchday 7 of the Futve League.

The Nigerian Jacob Adebanyo, Luifer Hernández and Williams Lugo were the authors of the goals for the visitor who achieved their seventh win in as many appearances in the season.

At minute 41, a perfect header from Adebanyo after a free kick as with the hand of Raudy Guerrero, would put the visitor ahead before the end of the first half.

Richard Blanco came within inches of equalizing the score, but the crossbar would prevent the tie on a hot afternoon in Puerto Ordaz.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first half with a visitor dominating the ball and the chances, but it was around minute 65 when the referee would penalize a handball in the area that striker Luifer Hernández would charge in a big way putting land in the middle in the Cachamay stadium that experienced its first professional soccer match in 2023.

The offensive trident made up of Yeangel Montero, Brayan Alcocer and the historic scorer Richard Blanco came to generate danger on the sides.

Veteran Richard Blanco would miss a penalty eight minutes from the final whistle.
