Zamora dealt a hard blow to Metrpolitanos' aspirations of trying to climb the table and get into the top four of the FUTVE League, by beat them 4-1 at the Agustín Tovar “La Carolina” Stadium in Barinas.

The visiting team had come out with determination and just three minutes in they got their first goal through Jayson Martíñez. However, the locals did not lower their arms in seeking to fulfill their fans; and how they did it, Robert Garcés scored the tie at 16 minutes, bringing the score level until the end of the first 45 minutes.
Upon returning from the break, the “La Carolina” score remained tied, leaving the excitement until the last 10 minutes. Gaston Poncet gave the locals the lead in the 83rd minute and in the third minute of added time he scored the decisive goal, after Mauricio Márquez scored the third goal in the 86th minute.
However, Zamora manages to win his third win in a row, and with a total of 26 points, he is just two away from entering the top-10 of the table. For its part, Metropolitanos stagnates in sixth place; by accumulating 38pts.
