Paraguay arrives at Maturín with a shortage of goals

Venezuela must take advantage of this bad streak of the albirrojo team

The Paraguay team will face Venezuela this Tuesday at the Monumental Stadium in Maturín. The red-faced team arrives to Venezuelan lands with a negative streak that has been going on for three years.

After tying their debut at home in these 2026 World Cup qualifiers at home against Peru, the lack of Paraguayan goals is something that the Guaraní team has to deal with.

Paraguay has accumulated a streak of seven away games without scoring goals. The last duel in which the red-and-white team scored a goal was on November 12, 2020 against Argentina in Buenos Aires.

From that match onwards, Paraguay was unable to score a goal against Uruguay, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil and Peru, who were the visiting rivals in the rest of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
