Monagas missed the victory against Colo Colo

A defensive error at the end cost the eastern team the victory

Monagas Sport Club was just minutes away from getting its first victory in the Copa Libertadores 2023. This Tuesday the Barça team drew 1-1 against Colo Colo for the fourth date of Group F.

The goal for the eastern team was the work of Rubén Ramirez. Marcos Bolados tied the score for the Chilean team.

After a first half in which Monagas gave the ball to Colo Colo, Jhonny Ferreira's men were able to keep the clean sheet to go to halftime.

At minute 61', a corner kick taken by David Martinez and which Rubén Ramirez was able to head off, put the Monaguense team ahead 1-0.

It was running with fraction 86' and after a move created by the left wing that led to a bad rejection by Christopher Rodríguez and that Marcos Bolados was able to finish off at will on the edge of the small area to make the final 1-1.

The Chilean goalkeeper Fernando de Paul was sent off at 90+1.

With this result, Monagas remains in last place in Group F with only two points added. For his part, the "Cacique" reached five points and is second.

On the following day, Monagas SC will receive Deportivo Pereira on Tuesday, May 6.
