The technical director of FC Barcelona, Xavi Hernández, spoke about Lionel Messi's decision to sign for Inter Miami of Major League Soccer (MLS) for next season.
During an interview on the Jijantes Twitch channel, where he explained that he had noticed a change in Messi's future in recent weeks and that he no longer saw it so clearly with his path to FC Barcelona.
“I have noticed a change in Messi in recent days, weeks. Perhaps he hadn't seen it so clearly in recent weeks. You have to respect him. You have to put yourself in his situation, you have to have empathy, ”said the Blaugrana technical director.

“Being a Leo shouldn't be easy, he's always in the spotlight because he has to be a '10' in everything, he never has peace of mind. He saw that these last two years he has not had a good time and now he is looking for peace of mind. We have been talking too much. He excited us all. To the club and to him, but sometimes the circumstances do not help things to happen, ”he added.
Xavi explained that this decision would be mainly based on the fact that he seeks to have greater family peace of mind. However, he did not avoid being surprised by this decision that distances him from European football.
“He wants a quieter and more family life. It is a personal decision and you have to respect it. He is the best player in history. I was convinced that he would return.
