Real Madrid came from behind this Sunday and defeated 2-1 to Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu, for the fifth matchday of the Spanish First Division.
In this way, the 'merengue' team continues its perfect start in the League; by winning five wins in a row, which places them first in the table with 15 points, two ahead of FC Barcelona, which beat Real Betis 5-0 on Saturday.
The Uruguayan Federico Valverde converted in the 46th minute and Joselu followed him in the 60th minute, to leave behind an early goal from Ander Barrenetxea, which put the Donostia team ahead in just the 5th minute of the match.
It should be noted that Real Madrid is the only team that still has a perfect record in the incipient Spanish campaign, which of course has allowed it to be at the top of the standings.
It was the third time that Madrid had to come from behind to get a victory this season. They were also losing at the beginning of their victories against Almería and Getafe.
For its part, Real Sociedad tied its first three games, but had just won against Granada.
New Madrid signing Jude Bellingham came into the game as one of the best players in the league, having scored five goals in the first four games. The 20-year-old English midfielder came close to scoring his sixth goal with a header that required a difficult save from the visiting team's goalkeeper, Álex Ramiro, near the end of the match.
Madrid, still without injured striker Vinícius Júnior, will return to the Bernabéu on Wednesday to open their Champions League campaign in a group stage match against Unión Berlin.
