El FC Barcelona officially welcomed Pole Robert Lewandowski at an event inside the Campo Nou stadium, where more than 57.000 people welcomed him.
The player, who became the Catalans' star signing, will wear the number '9' shirt worn by great legends such as the Uruguayan Luis Suárez.
«Coming to Barça was the perfect next step for my career and my personal life. We have worked hard to make this a reality and now I am here, very happy and proud," Lewandowski said.
The Pole spoke about coach Xavi Hernández and the connection he felt during his first talk with the strategist.

"He had to think about my position, we talked about systems and tactics, I knew he had clear ideas and I am with him because he is the right person to do it," he said.
"The players have enormous potential and talent, this mix of youth and experience can work," he added.
As for the rivalry that exists with Real Madrid, Lewandowski downplayed the meringues and the level that Karim Benzema presents.
