Just hours before the start of the 2023-2024 Champions League season, Real Madrid faces a significant loss for its debut.
Dani Carvajal has not trained with the rest of his teammates due to a muscle injury and will be absent from Wednesday's duel against Unión Berlin, held at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Carlo Ancelotti indicated in a press conference that the player has “muscular overload” and that is why he decided to rest him.
Until now it is unknown how long the captain of the white team could be out, according to the media report Carvajal could be on the first day of the Champions League.

Carvajal's loss increases the space in the Real Madrid infirmary along with the already injured Vinicius and Arda Güler.
On the other side of the coin, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy have returned to training with the group and have practically recovered from their ailments. They could get on the list.
