FC Barcelona reached an agreement with the Spanish footballer, Jordi Alba, for the termination of the contract that the player had with the team until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Through a statement, the team thanked all the commitment that Alba gave to its ranks during the 11 seasons that it played and in which it reached a total of 18 titles.
"FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Jordi Alba for the professionalism, commitment, dedication and always positive and close treatment that he has always shown towards all levels that make up the Barça family, and wishes him luck and achievements in the future. . Barça will always be your home," the club said.
The owner of the left wing of the blaugranas achieved a total of 26 goals and 91 assists in 458 games played to date. However, these numbers could increase until the end of the season.
“Thank you to my friends for sharing this path with me, to all my teammates, staff, coaches, presidents and everyone with whom I had the opportunity to coincide in 18 years at the club. My greatest wish was always to be a FC Barcelona player," Alba expressed in a video.

The player began his career at La Masia blaugrana, but had to leave their ranks for several years to return as one of the players with the greatest projection in the first team.
