Christophe Galtier agrees for 2 years with PSG

The Ligue 1 champion club did not confirm the signing of its new coach

French coach Christophe Galtier made a two-year commitment to Paris Saint-Germain, replacing Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, sources familiar with the dossier reported on Monday.

Seen in the administrative premises of the Parisian club on Monday afternoon, according to videos released on social networks, the 55-year-old former Nice coach will initially be officially appointed on Tuesday by the PSG.

The coach's dossier is finally resolved for PSG, about a month and a half after the announcement of the renewal of star Kylian Mbappé, the starting point of an almost complete remodeling of the organization chart.

Asked about the AFP, the Ligue 1 champion club did not confirm the signing of their new manager, nor the departure of his Argentine predecessor after just a year and a half in the job.

But this Monday Galtier did not hide either and was recorded by the cameras of the fans and the media together with the new sports advisor Luis Campos in the "Factory", the administrative headquarters of the club, located in Boulogne-Billancourt, southwest of Paris. .

PSG's preparation for the 2022/2023 season involves a friendly match against Ligue 2 club Quevilly-Rouen on July 15, followed by a tour of Japan from July 16.

The first official match is scheduled in Tel-Aviv for the Champions Trophy (Super Cup) against Nantes on July 31.
