Venezuelan riders Wilfred Vásquez and Franklin González brought class to the fore last weekend in the United States.
Vásquez won the last one on Sunday at Gulfstream Park with the exemplary Ride On Beauty, trained by José Garóffalo, a test in which the Venezuelans Edgar Pérez with Rain of Blessing and Samuel Camacho Jr, on Artificial Intell, completed the Creole trifecta.
It was the fifth victory in the United States for the rider who conquered the 2020 Simón Bolívar Classic in La Rinconada with Apistos as an apprentice.
For his part, Franklin González Jr., surprised in the fourth race last Saturday at Gulfstream Park with Zydeceaux, presented by fellow Venezuelan Daniel Pita with a dividend of 19,40 per winner and in what was his second victory in the North.
Vásquez and González belong to the latest crop of young Venezuelan riders seeking to break through on American racetracks like the Camacho brothers, Carlos Rojas, Samuel Marín, Ubardo Casique, Ismerio Villalobos and others.
The weekend also won Leonel Reyes Ramos, who showed off with Steal Sushine in the Ellis Park Derby, with a prize of 200.000 dollars in Ellis Park Racing, as well as Sonny León Edgar Pérez, Samy Camacho Samuel Camacho Jr., Daniel Pita, Antonio Sano , Javier Castellano, Júnior Alvarado, among other Venezuelans who perform successfully in the main American ovals.
