Due to the stumbles caused by the horse Kingston a Mastery in the final stretch of the fifth valid for the game of 5 and 6, the Board of Commissioners of the La Rinconada Racecourse suspended the apprentice rider José Alejandro Rivero for two weeks.
In accordance with the legal provisions published on the social networks of the National Racecourse Institute, at the end of the tenth race of the afternoon, the jockey Robert Capriles filed a claim against his colleague José Alejandro Rivero, alleging that at the height of 400 meters and the final 200 meters causes the driver to stumble.
After observing the replay of the race, the stewards determined that the Kingston horse (Con Rivero) charged outwards, cutting the Mastery line, without the regulatory advantage, so they proceeded to distance him from first to second place.

They also decided to impose a two-week sanction on Rivero, who was out of action from Monday, 18/09/2023 to Monday, 02/10/2023, both dates inclusive, with the provisions of article No. 243 of the National Regulations of Careers.
Rivero achieved a couple of wins last Sunday to reach 21 awards in La Rinconada and is the second apprentice with the most victories this year, behind Hemirxon Medina with 48.
Moncada in investigation
Due to the complaint made by trainer Ramiro Caldeira against the jockey Julio Moncada, for the performance of the mare Queen Tita in the seventh race last Sunday in La Rinconada, the stewards opened the respective administrative investigations with both professionals, in accordance with articles 5, 14, 17, 18 and 262 of the National Racing Regulations.
Likewise, citizens Julio Moncada and Ramiro Caldeira were notified to appear before the office of the resident commissioner of the INH, on Monday, September 18, 2023 between 9:30 and 10:00 am respectively, for the purposes of rendering interview.
