Tap daddy, 4-year-old American horse, son of Scat daddy en Easy tap, achieved his fifth selective victory in our country by winning the Classic Jockey Club of Venezuela yesterday in La Rinconada.
In 2018 Tap Daddy debuted in our environment, achieving victory in this competition and then triumphing in the classics Simón Bolívar, the Venezuelan Gold Cup and the Bolivarian National Armed Force. He was second in the Classic President of the Republic and in the Owners La Rinconada.
He was invalidated for all bets on his career yesterday and from the initial meters he sought the leading position closely followed by Papa Pedro.
Turning the first corner and entering the front straight, I was in total control of the race, passing the initial 400 meters in 25 ”2 and in 48” 3 the half mile, always with a clear advantage over Papa Pedro, The Brother Slew, East Bay, Yazbeck and Unstoppable.
He followed the 1 meters at 12'3 ”1.200 and left 1'37” 2 at 1.600. In the final stretch, his victory could already be predicted, which he finally achieved by a wide margin, with a record of 1'51 ”2 for 1.800 meters. It was led by Cipriano Gil and presented by Nelson Castillo, in the colors of the El Centauro stud.
