The Venezuelan rider Santiago González continues to develop a tremendous campaign at the Belterra Park Racetrack, located on the outskirts of the city of Cincinnati, Ohio state, since last Tuesday he won three more races.

That day Santiago crossed the finish line in profit with Elle'sbigseacret in the second race; Prince Maior in fourth and Strong Yen in seventh, apart from completing the day with two seconds and a fourth place. This means that the outstanding Venezuelan rider has achieved numbers that reflect his effectiveness.

Yesterday he woke up with 40 wins that keep him in first place in the statistics. It is noteworthy that he achieved his first triumph this year at Belterra Park, the same day that the meeting began (April 29) that ends on October 8 of this year.

That number of victories, together with the 31 seconds and 15 third parties, give him the following numbers: 33% effectiveness in wins and a very high 71% in appearances among the first three places.

Three in the top 4

Certainly, the work carried out by the Venezuelan horsemen who campaign at the Belterra Park Racecourse is remarkable. In terms of triumphs, three Venezuelans occupy the first four places, which indicates the good role they have been playing.

Yesterday, before the scheduled race day, Santiago, as we mentioned, is first, while Sonny León ties second with Perry Wayne Ouzts and another Venezuelan jockey marches into fourth with 13 firsts. We refer to Frank Reyes.

Other nationals

José Bracho, who is also campaigning in Belterra Park, managed to win a race, while in other parts of the United States, Venezuelans also made themselves felt. Such is the case of Mychel Sánchez at Parx Racing, Philadelphia and the coaches José Camejo and Alfredo Asprino at Arizona Downs, who maintain the performance of the Venezuelan equestrian professionals in a demanding horse race.

Castellano and Junior Alvarado

For a change, these Venezuelan riders have striking numbers in different statistical lines of horse racing in the United States, according to the Twitter account Racing Stats & Info @GaryDougherty. Thus, for example, Javier Castellano appears as the most winning rider in the Just a Game Stakes, an event instituted in tribute to the great English champion who completed her campaign in the United States. He has triumphed in this test 4 times, in the years 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2019.

For his part, Alvarado is included in the statistics of the jockeys with the most stakes in 2021. He has crossed the goal of first in this type of event up to 16 times, which gives him an effectiveness of 23%. This places him as the seventh with the most stakes. The líder in this department is Joel Rosario with 29 wins in stakes, for a 27% effectiveness.
