Philomena galloped them in the XlX Gelinotte Classic

The daughter of the Venezuelan King Seraf was ready to run at the Equestrian Gala in Caracas

As expected, Philomena responded as the main favorite of the Gelinotte Classic, held as the fourth race yesterday at the La Rinconada Racecourse, over a distance of 1.800 meters, a route she covered in 116”3.

Philomena, ridden by Jame “Pocho” Lugo, advanced third from the speedy Bella Fina and Chipis Star who pressed her from second place, leaving Marttina in fourth position and Letal in last place.

In this way they passed in 24”4, the first 400 meters and 50”4, was the mark for the 800 meters, always with Bella Fina pointing the way followed by Philomena and Chipis Star.

At the post of the final 600 meters and a record of 76”, exactly for the 1.200 meters, Jaime Lugo made his driven Philomena run hard to displace the speedy Bella Fina, limiting herself to galloping easily to the finish line and achieving victory several lengths ahead of Chipis Star, who made an outstanding performance. Third came Marttina, who cheered for a long stretch. The fourth place went to the pointer Bella Fina, fifth and last came Letal, just as she ran throughout the test.
