The Venezuelan rider Javier Castellano once again displayed his skills as a rider by winning the Vosburgh Stakes, a classic Grade 1, endowed with a $ 303.000 global prize, played at a distance of 1.200 meters, in the arena of the Belmont racecourse, New York.
From the initial meters he was fighting for first place with Firenze Fire, led by Irad Ortiz Jr. in 22.11 sets for the first 400 meters, 44.65 for the 800 and 56.19 for the 1.000 meters.
In the final stretch he braided a strong duel with his tenacious rival and achieved the victory by margin of nose in time of 1.08.35 for 1.200 meters.
Daughter of American Pharoah
That was not all for the outstanding Zulian rider, who in the following race showed off with the debutant Princess Caroline, a two-year-old filly daughter of American Pharoah in Sacre Coeur.
He brought it in intermediate positions and in the final stretch he took the first place to finish winning by a margin of 3 and a half lengths in time of 1.41.67 for 1.700 meters.
At the closing of this edition, the results of two races remained to be known, the tenth where the Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes was held and the eleventh where Javier had a couple of commitments.
John Velazquez líder
The great Puerto Rican rider, who became the most winner of grade classics last Friday at the Santa Anita racecourse in California, achieved another important selective victory yesterday, leading the exemplary Midnight Bisou to victory at the Belmont racecourse in the Beldame Stakes.
Also Jaramillo
Another Venezuelan rider, Emisael Jaramillo, also achieved a selective victory, by winning yesterday's fourth race in Gulfstream Park, Florida, the Our Dear Peggy Stakes, with a $ 75.000 global prize, over the Dosara filly Onyx.
At the beginning he came out among the last but quickly recovered it and placed it second, to dominate in the final stretch, claiming the victory by margin of three lengths in time of 1.35.43 for 1.600 meters, in grass.

On the same Gulfstream day, the rider Samy Camacho and the coach Juan Carlos Avila also showed off with two victories.

The rider José Gilberto Hernández had an afternoon inspired by the La Rinconada Racetrack yesterday by winning a total of four races, to reach 13 in the 2019 season. José Gilberto began his streak in the fourth competition imposing Apocalypse Queen from end to end. His task continued in the ninth, the third valid for 5 and 6, with Mademoiselle; in the eleventh (5th valid) with Elysium and closed with a flourish in the twelfth (6th valid) with the Turkish dapple. Two of his triumphs were with horses trained by César Pérez and the other pair was presented by Juan García.
