Carlos Rojas debuts tomorrow in the US

The Venezuelan rider will be at Monmouth Park, the same one where Samuel Marín won

After completing the requirements demanded by the US authorities to practice the profession, the Venezuelan jockey Carlos Rojas will make his debut this Saturday with the exemplary Charlotte Webley in the second race of Monmout Park, a test in which he will face the also Venezuelan Samuel Camacho Jr. among other competitors.

International level

Rojas, 28 years old, known as the "Black Manta", for his way of driving race horses, is a native of Ciudad Bolívar and considered one of the best jockeys of recent times in Venezuela, winner of selective competitions in the racetracks in La Rinconada, Valencia and Santa Rosa Park, the latter located in Trinidad and Tobago.

The debut

Charlotte Webley is a son of Alpha in Girl Show, by Wild Russ, trained by Michael A. Simmonds, with a record of two wins in 29 starts and will enter a claim test, and is optioned.

As one of his main rivals appears Mizzn, a presented by Juan Carlos Ávila with the mount of Samy Camacho and with many possibilities of winning.

This other Venezuelan is also based at the Monmouth Park Racecourse in New Jersey and like Rojas belongs to the new generations of jockeys who did their apprenticeship in Venezuela and prove their worth in the big leagues of horse racing.
