August is being somewhat bitter for "Miggy"

With just a .094 AVE, the Venezuelan is going through a tough time with batting in Detroit

Even though for a few weeks it was already planned that Miguel Cabrera would have a specific number of games to play until the close of the regular round of this 2022 campaign with the Detroit Tigers, the balance at this point in August is not the most graceful for the slugger from Maracay and his average of just .094 is, in part, due to the effect he is feeling on his body due to the constant pain in his knees that has forced him to have less participation with the Michigan currency.

Historically, "Miggy" the eighth month of the year (fifth in terms of the usual MLB calendar) has been profitable to contribute his individual quota with both the Bengals and the Florida Marlins, at the beginning of his career. In 478 commitments and 1.759 legal shifts, Cabrera accumulates an average of .299 with 88 home runs connected, 315 RBI. 256 runs scored, 223 walks and 357 strikeouts.

However, to see such a radical decline in the Aragüeño's offensive average, it is necessary to refer to the 2017 campaign when in the same period he hit .221 with a home run, seven RBIs, six runs scored and 17 hits in 77 appearances and 24 games (He walked nine times and was struck out 20 times.)

His best record for August was that of 2015 where he left an AVE of .393 by dispatching a couple of homers, twelve hits for the plate and the same number he scored for Detroit after sounding 24 hits in 71 at-bats and 16 games.

In 2012, the year in which he won the Triple Crown, Cabrera (.330 AVE, 44 HR, 139 CI) left a balance of .357 with eight home runs, 24 RBIs, 19 runs scored and 35 hits (98 VB in 26 J).

And so far in 2022, May is the best month personally for Cabrera (.318 AVE, 3 HR, 13 CI, 7 CA) and with a few days to conclude August, it only remains to hope that it will be the same as always .
