Pitcher Justin Verlander of the Houston Astros, reached his 15th victory of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season this Thursday night.
In six innings of work, the 39-year-old veteran starter blanked the Cleveland Guardians. In his 20th start of the season, Verlander, who flirted several times with throwing a No-Hitter this season, only allowed a couple of hits, gave away one walk and struck out five opponents.
Now the Ace of Houston, líder in MLB wins and ERA, he is 15-3 with a 1.73 earned run average.
Verlander reached 241 career wins in the "Big Show" and tied Herb Pennock for the 57th position of pitchers with the most wins in the "Big Tent".
In the offensive section, Chas McCormick and Martín Maldonado hit a three-run homer each.

With this new victory (6 to 0), Dusty Baker's troupe, who walked without any obstacles to the American League West Division title, placed their record at 69-38.
