The Tigres de Aragua announced the addition of a new import to their ranks, this time the Dominican Denis Phipps.
This would be the fourth imported record that the Aragüeña troop ensures for the 2022-2023 season.
Víctor Zambrano was the one who announced the return of the experienced Dominican outfielder to national baseball.
Phipps will play his seventh season in Venezuelan baseball, after 4 campaigns with Caribes de Anzoátegui, one with Cardenales de Lara and last season with Tigres de Aragua.
Last year, Phipps played 45 games with the Tigers, leaving an account of 41 hits in 166 at-bats, to leave an average of .247 with 5 home runs, 6 doubles, 1 triple and 27 RBIs.

The slugger is currently playing a season in the Independent circuit of the Frontier League with the ninth Tri-City Valley Cats, in which he maintains a batting average of .305 product of 87 hits in 285 at-bats, with 28 home runs, 19 doubles and 75 RBI in 76 games played.
Phipps is currently the líder in the Frontier League home run department with 28 homers.
