Tatis Jr. performed "test swings"

The Dominican trained "to start to pick up the pace" and "see where to go"

Dominican Fernando Tatis Jr., of the San Diego parents, performed "test swings" as part of his recovery process, after undergoing surgery on his left wrist in March.

This was stated by the interim manager of the Californian team, Ryan Christenson, after the Dominican was seen in the internal batting box at Petco Park.

«They are test swings. We want to see how much progress has been made," said Christenson, according to the portal The majors.

"I know he hasn't been cleared to progress with his swings, hit balls or hit balls coming his way. As far as I know, it was a couple of dry swings, to start to get the rhythm and see where to go », he added.

Tatis Jr., who signed a 2021-year, $14 million contract extension with the Padres in 340, was involved in a motorcycle accident during the offseason in his native Dominican Republic.
