Salvador Pérez returned to "all train"

“Salvy” accumulates five home runs and 14 RBIs since he returned from the disabled list

The Venezuelan Salvador Pérez, figure of the Kansas City Royals, hit his 16th home run of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season this Friday night.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, "Salvy" punished a slow delivery by Boston Red Sox starter Josh Winckowski to get the ball out to left field.

According to Baseball Savant, the Venezuelan catcher's connection posted a muzzle velocity of 112.4 miles per hour and traveled 454 feet.

With this hit from four corners, the native of Valencia, Carabobo state, accumulates five home runs and 14 RBIs since he returned from the disabled list.

Already on Thursday, Salvador Pérez grabbed the spotlight by surpassing the figure of 700 RBIs in MLB.

Despite the good day of the Venezuelan and a late attempt, the Royals ended up losing the match (7 to 4) against the "red-footed" cast.
