The return to the Major Leagues is very close for the Venezuelan Ronald Acuña Jr. The Braves outfielder appears to be fully recovered from the anterior cruciate ligament injury.
This Friday saw action in a game for the first time since last July 10, as part of the extended preseason that meets in North Port, Florida.
According to the Majors, Acuña could begin a minor league assignment after his stint at North Port.
The Braves flirted with the idea of using him as the designated hitter for the last week of April. But in the end they decided to delay his return a bit and wait for him to come back in full condition.
In 2021, in 82 games, Acuna he hit .281 with 24 home runs and 52 RBI.
