Rocchio continues with an excellent step in AAA

The Venezuelan hit three extra-base hits for the first time in the season with Columbus

After being dropped by the Cleveland Guardians on May 19, Brayan Rocchio continued his Triple-A campaign with the Columbus Clippers in the International League of the category.

However, on Wednesday he experienced a great night on offense, in which he went 3-for-3 with a run scored, four RBIs and a walk, in what was nonetheless the 12-9 team loss to the Indianapolis Indians; affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates in that circuit.

Now, the Venezuelan showed off all his tools, because in the first turn he tested his patience by receiving a ticket with four bad shipments in a row and then fired a double RBI in the second section.

Later, he repeated with two more doubles and drew another walk before dispatching another two-run connection; his 16th of the season at the pre-major league level, where he also added his 25th RBI.

It should be noted that this was the seventh game of three or more hits for Rocchio this year in AAA, but the first with at least three extra-base hits.

In this way, Brayan Rocchio has the seventh best batting average in the International League (.346), in a total of 40 games. Additionally, he leads the Clippers in hits (56), doubles (16; second in the league), stolen bases (10) and extra-base hits (20; colíder with Zack Collins).
