WBSC President Riccardo intervened on Saturday in the broadcast of Game 2 of the Premier12 that took place in Guadalajara, Mexico, between the Dominican Republic and the United States and took the opportunity to give his impressions of the fruitful tournament.
“After the successful inaugural edition, the event grew exponentially and is held in four locations and two continents”, explains the president. “Premier12 is the most important international baseball event this year. Mexico, Taiwan, Korea and Japan are confirming that they are great partners and fully committed to offering a world-class event”.
Also being hosted in the Americas, the Premier12 is now truly a high-quality, global event. “Mexico is one of the traditional historical countries of baseball. Furthermore, keeping sport on the Olympic Program is key for our national federations”, he concluded.
