Ozuna's homer secured victory for the Braves

The Dominican hit his fifth home run against the San Diego Padres

Marcell Ozuna homered and Austin Riley hit a tiebreaking double during a four-run eighth inning, as the Atlanta Braves beat the San Diego Padres 6-5 on Saturday.

The Braves punished reliever Steve Wilson (3-1) with Ozzie Albies' RBI single, Ozuna's two-run homer and Riley's go-ahead hit.

The game seemed decided in San Diego's favor in the top of the eighth inning, when first baseman Matt Olson couldn't control Trent Grisham's grounder for a two-base error with one out.

The Braves, champions of the last World Series, have won four of six games to improve to 16-18.

For the Padres, Machado 4-0 with an RBI. Colombian Alfaro 3-2 with one scored and one produced.

For the Braves, the Dominican Ozuna 4-1 with a run scored and two RBIs. Venezuelan William Contreras 2-0 with a run scored. Cuban Guillermo Heredia 2-0.
