Miggy will overtake Simmons and Carew in a matter of days

The pride of La Pedrera recorded a positive day in another Detroit defeat

The Venezuelan Miguel Cabrera (Miggy), of the Detroit Tigers, recorded a great night with the wood against the Boston Red Sox.

Despite the 42nd loss of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season for the Bengali team, Miggy being the news, perhaps the only, positive news of Detroit's ninth.

The pride of La Pedrera, Aragua state, tied this Tuesday 4-3 and towed the 23rd race of the campaign. With that boost, "El Tigre Mayor" reached 1.827 and was one trailer away from matching Al Simmons' historical record.

Additionally, thanks to his singles of the day, “El muchacho de la película”, a nickname given to him by the late narrator Humberto “Beto” Perdomo, he is three singles away from equaling Panamanian Rod Carew.

For this reason, the future member of the Hall of Fame, who would be the second Venezuelan after Luis Aparicio, could surpass the marks of the aforementioned baseball legends in the coming days.

The Tigers close a three-game series against Boston tomorrow, to rest on Thursday and then visit the Arizona Diamondbacks from Friday to Sunday.
