Magallanes is armed with a new import

With this new acquisition the Turks hope to give depth to their bench for this season

The Navegantes del Magallanes continue to seek to shield their team for the 2022-2023 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.

Magallanes introduced Lázaro Hernández, a 29-year-old Cuban and native of Pinar del Río, through his social networks.

Hernández is a third baseman and right-handed hitter, the team hopes to add depth to their bench and a power hitter in the line-up for the Turkish ship.

The Antillean has over 6 years of experience in professional baseball in Cuba, where he has played 324 games.

Leaving a career average of .264 with 247 hits in 936 at-bats, 45 doubles, eight triples, 40 home runs, 146 RBIs and 149 runs scored.

He currently plays in the Mexican league with Tigres de Quintana Roo where he has an average of .315 in 31 games played, has 11 home runs and 29 streaks.

Hernández joins Nellie Rodríguez as the two imports announced by the ship
