Senators swept Samanes

The residents of the capital are in second place in the table

Senators from Caracas swept Samanes de Aragua to add their third consecutive victory, and remain in second place in the standings.

With a score of 6 runs for 0, the people from the capital obtained their sixth victory of the tournament and third in a row, to end the week with a record of 3-3, after being down 0-3.

It is the first shutout given by Senadores' arms this season, who relied on their team using five pitchers who only allowed two hits.

Those led by Víctor Gárate also leaned on the timely bat of Cristhian Pedroza, who entered the lineup 20 minutes before the game.

José Caracas, Alberto “Tico” González, Arvincent Pérez and Anthony Jiménez also contributed to the cause of the capital.

That offensive support and the good performance of Dominican starter Fernando Pérez allowed Senadores to take control of practically the entire match.

Will Changarotty was the winner of the game, while Carlos Teller took the loss.
