With timely hitting and brilliant relief, Senadores de Caracas beat Centauros de La Guaira 4-3 at home to complete the sweep.
The people of the capital went ahead in the first episode with a solo home run by Anthony Giménez. Later they added another three stripes, between the third and fourth episode, with singles by Ramón Cabrera and Jesús Sucre. That was enough for them to impose their law.
Centauros could only produce three runs due to a single by Franklin Torres and a two-run home run by Héctor Sánchez.
Mayckol Guaipe added his second victory of the year by completing 5.0 three-run innings, two walks and the same number of strikeouts to leave his ERA at 5.40.

Flex Carvallo (1.0), Dedgar Jiménez (1.0) and Jorge Rondón (1.0) combined to retire three perfect innings. And Jumbo Díaz pitched a smooth ninth for his third save of the season.
Claudio Custodio (1-1) took the loss, despite having a great performance of 7.0 innings of four runs, only three were clean.
Those led by Víctor Garate have recovered from a turbulent start and with a record of 8-7 have placed themselves two and a half games off the lead. Centuaros, for his part, was 9-7 and remains second, half a game above the senate.
